BOLT-IN or WELD- IN ROLL CAGE?

The decision normally comes down to the client’s long term aims for the vehicle and their budget. Bolt-in kits are around 40% cheaper and allow more flexibility with your car while Weld-in cages are the ultimate in performance and safety and when done right can add a little more torsional stiffness when you’re chasing those last few tenths of a second.

BOLT-IN ROLL CAGES

Bolt-in Roll Cages for Motorsport Australia (CAMS) competitions are fitted to the vehicle with fasteners and can be removed from the vehicle at any time. Bolt-in’s are a great entry to mid-level option particularly if you ever intend on reverting your vehicle back to road use or wish to pull the cage out of the car for re-sale purposes. The design of a Bolt-in Roll cage requires all connectors or couplings and their fasteners to be positioned in such a way that the installer can get access to them. Our entire Bolt-in Roll Cage range is manufactured to the correct dimensions and match tested for the best fit possible. No additional cutting or drilling of the roll cage itself is required. Each kit comes with a step by step installation guide with photos while we also offer assistance over the phone should you encounter any problems.

If you’re considering one of our ‘National’ level Bolt-in Roll cage kits they do offer considerable protection at a high level of competition. They offer the flexibility of being able to remove the cage if you want to sell the car, keeping the road rego and/or removing the cage for use again if the body shell gets damaged beyond repair.
